Dr. Peter Lam

Dr. Peter Lam is a licensed general dentist and has served the Calgary community for over 20 years. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Alberta in 2000 and furthered his education at the Eastman Dental Center and Strong Memorial Hospital in New York for a year.

Dr. Lam is dedicated to delivering patient-centered comprehensive dental care, focusing on preventive care, overall health, and creating confident smiles. He is known for his patient-centered approach, building strong relationships with his patients to ensure they are active participants in their dental care decisions. Dr. Lam emphasizes patient education, empowering individuals to make informed choices about their oral health.

He is especially passionate and has special focus on dental implants, Invisalign orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and pediatric dental care. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Lam serves as the Chairperson for SAIT’s Dental Assistant Program Advisory Board and had previously served as a clinical instructor for several years. He is actively involved in humanitarian efforts, volunteering his skills with organizations such as Kindness In Action and the Christian Medical And Dental Associations (CMDA), where he provides essential dental services in underserved communities in Central America and Cambodia.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lam finds joy in spending quality time with his wife, Helen, and their daughters, Kianna and Kaylie. His leisure pursuits include fly fishing, camping, and offroading, allowing him to recharge and connect with nature.
